Well, children, she was another Supermodel of my day, though she did not adorn my room's wall. She really became famous in 1979, two years into high school for me and if I remember correctly, that was the year of my first date, so my mind was else ware, if you know what I mean... nudge, nudge...wink, wink. She became even more of a house hold name (I mean besides teenaged boys and young men) when she drove by in a Ferrari 308 GTsi (and with other seems), in the movie called "Vacation" starring Chevy Chase. Christie was born on February 2, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan as Christie Lee Hudson. She is 5' 9" [1.75 m] tall.

Factoids:

• Daughter of producer-director Don Brinkley and Marge Brinkley.
• Wears size 7 ½ - 8 shoe. (Not sure if that is bad or good. I think my wife is a 7½ shoe size. -ed.)
• Sister of Greg Brinkley.
• Went to Palisades High School in Los Angeles, California.
• Has three children, Sailor Lee Brinkley Cook, Alexa Ray Joel and Jack Paris Brinkley.
• Filed a $42 million defamation suit against the National Enquirer and jointly sued her former personal assistant Beth La Face as the contact for the tabloid. [9 September 1997]
• Her first SPORTS ILLUSTRATED swimsuit issue cover was in 1979. She also appeared on the cover in 1980 and 1981, making her the first model to appear on 3 consecutive covers.
• Brinkley was one of three models featured as dolls produced by Matchbox Toys called "The Real Model Collection".
• She survived a helicopter crash in March 1994 near Telluride, Colorado.
• Was a democratic delegate from New York state at the 2000 Democratic Convention in Los Angeles. (Yeah, very unlike Chuck Norris. -ed.)

• Has had back surgery following a skiing injury that occurred during a family ski trip.
