For you westerners, she may not be familiar but she's been in a few movies and many Japanese soap operas. The one movie I would like to point out to you is called "Ichi." It's another remake or sequel to the "Zatoichi" series that is very popular in Japan. In the movie "Ichi," Haru plays the main character and it is implied that she is the daughter of "Zatoichi." You don't need to know about "Zatoichi" to enjoy "Ichi." I highly recommend it.
